🏀 Under 12 Girls Season Recap & State Champs Wrap-Up 🏀
What a season it’s been for our Under 12 Girls teams! From the hard-fought regular season to their stellar performances at the State Champs, these young athletes have continually impressed with their skills, teamwork, and resilience. Here's a closer look at their journey:
Regular Season Recap:
- U12 Girls GOLD (Div 1):
The Gold team finished 4th in the Premier League with a 7-7 record, showing great consistency in a very competitive league. Despite 5 close losses by single figures, they put up strong performances throughout the season. They now head into a 1v4 Semi-Final against Southern Districts on September 7th.
💥 Key Matchup Stats: The girls held Southern Districts to their 3rd lowest score this season and scored the 2nd most points against them, setting up what promises to be an exciting semi-final clash! - U12 Girls SILVER (Div 3):
The Silver team had an excellent season, finishing 4th with an 8-6 record. Their next challenge will be a semi-final matchup against Ipswich 2, a team they have beaten twice this season. SILVER has consistently posed problems for Ipswich's defense, ranking 3rd in offensive output against them during the season. - U12 Girls BRONZE (Div 3):
The Bronze team closed out their regular season in 5th place with a 6-8 record—a tremendous achievement, as they, alongside the Silver team, were contenders for the top-4 spots in Level 3.
State Champs Wrap-Up:
Our teams delivered standout performances at the State Champs, representing Brisbane Capitals with pride:
- Girls Gold:
Finished 6th in Division 1, narrowly missing a top-5 finish after a close, hard-fought loss to the SeaHawks. A stellar effort from the girls in one of the toughest divisions! - Girls Silver:
Finished 4th in Division 3 after a thrilling semi-final clash with Rockhampton, where they just fell short in an intense, high-energy game. They showed incredible tenacity all weekend. - Girls Bronze:
Finished 7th in Division 3, capping off their tournament with an exhilarating overtime, come-from-behind win! Their perseverance and never-give-up attitude earned them a well-deserved victory.

As the season comes to a close, we reflect on the hard work, growth, and development of all our U12 players. We’re excited to see these young stars continue to shine as they move forward in their basketball journeys!
