WELCOME MIKAELA

We are proud to announce our first NBL1 North Electract Women’s signing—Mikaela Ruef!

Ruef brings a wealth of experience to Brisbane, having played in the WNBL for the Sydney Uni Flames, Adelaide Lightning, Canberra Capitals, and Townsville Fire, where she helped secure the 2022/23 WNBL Championship. She has also played internationally with Charnay Basket Bourgogne Sud in France.

Coach Caddie shared her excitement about the signing:

"Mikaela has been arguably the most dominant player in the NBL1 North competition over the past five years. Last season, she averaged an impressive 18.5 points, 21.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game—a testament to her all-around impact on the court. Having someone of Mikaela’s calibre join the Brisbane Capitals is exciting, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to have her involved in our senior program. Her willingness to work with our juniors makes her an invaluable addition for 2025."

Welcome to Brisbane, Mikaela!
