The National Basketball League One (NBL1)is the national division two competition underpinning both the WNBL and NBL. The Brisbane Capitals Senior men and women’s teams compete in the NBL1 North conference.
NBL1 North provides an elite senior representative competition for our members and entertainment to spectators by showcasing the most talented basketball players within Queensland.
For some this will be the pinnacle of their pathway and for others it will be a stepping stone on their pathway to the WNBL and NBL and National Representation.
The NBL1 North Men & Women teams represent the pinnacle of senior representative basketball with the Capitals. Both teams form the top tier of the Capitals Senior Performance Program which include our Queensland State League (QSL) Men & Women teams.
As part of providing an essential pathway for Brisbane players, coaches, and officials from junior to senior representative basketball, the Capitals field a Men and Women’s U21 SQJBC team; supporting the development opportunities senior representative basketball offers.
